ENGINEERED SIDING

Engineered wood siding is your perfect alternative to solid wood. Achieve the look of the real thing while saving money, durability and resistance to outside factors. Engineered wood comes in various finished looks and you can choose between a cedar texture or a smooth finish. When you visit one of our 11 locations in Southwestern Ontario, our experts are always pleased to provide you with the various engineered wood siding options including:

  • Clapboard
  • Shingle
  • Board & batten
  • Trims

The production of engineered wood is extensive and includes the use of resin composite material, along with strands or fibers of wood. There is a wax added to these fibers which help make it water resistant, so it can withstand the elements that can cause natural wood to warp and deteriorate over time. Engineered wood siding is dense and strong, as a result of it being heat pressed during the production stages. In Southwestern Ontario, weather plays a role in our decision making especially with the exterior décor of our homes. Siding materials can often become damaged upon impact, whereas engineered wood siding can handle extreme whether cycles without any warping. Things like mould and mildew are also less likely to impact this material and it doesn’t damage as easily.

Engineered wood siding costs less than natural wood and you’re still able to achieve the look compared to siding materials such as vinyl or aluminum. Ask one of our siding experts about our manufacturer’s 30-year warranty, giving you more peace of mind. In addition to the insurance that this warranty brings, there’s added value to the buyer should you decide to sell your home at a later date.
